  • A single Australian woman met a handsome man at a public pool in Sydney
  • But the two did not exchange names or numbers, so he contacted Facebook.
  • Community members helped identify the man and connect the two.

A single Australian woman opted to use a Facebook group in an attempt to find an attractive man she was talking to at a public pool.

The anonymous woman called all the ‘cupids and detectives’ on Sydney’s north shore to ask if anyone knew the man described.

That day she had passed through tThe Maccallum Seawater Pool at Cremorne Point while visiting his parents over the weekend when he had a “nice conversation” with a man who was lounging under a tree with his shirt off.

On the Mosman Living Facebook group, he said he saw the man after petting an ‘adorable’ Moodle dog, though he did not get the man’s name or number, and does not know if he is single.

“Couldn’t resist petting an adorable Moodle named Leon, whose human was lounging under a tree shirtless reading How to Win Friends and Influence People (not sure if that’s a red flag?),” she wrote.

“We had a nice chat, I admired her beautiful dark eyes, she patted my parents’ dog, but I was too shy to ask for her number.”

I didn’t even know his name and he may not be single, but does anyone have any leads on a man matching this description?

He added that he appeared to be ‘around 30’.

The woman said she’s been on dating apps but hasn’t had much luck, so she thought she’d reach out to the community.

Against all odds, one member of the group knew exactly who the man was, and he was single. The two dog lovers were able to connect thanks to social networks.

A mutual friend confirmed: ‘Connection made’ and that she ‘leaves the rest up to her’.

Many seemed happy that the woman managed to get in touch with the handsome man, but others were concerned and raised privacy concerns.

In the comments, the woman said she “didn’t expect all these reactions.”

‘To the couple of people who pointed out that this might be a breach of privacy, a valid point!’ she wrote.

“I didn’t think of that when I posted on a whim, but luckily he doesn’t seem too concerned about it.”
