Brazilian bronze medalist Flávia Saraiva went viral on Tuesday after someone discovered her profile on the popular dating app.
The 24-year-old, who won a medal in the women’s all-around at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, says she uses the app for “nothing serious, but it depends”.

Saraiva claims she’s on Tinder for “nothing serious, but it depends,” and describes herself as “an artistic gymnastics athlete, Olympic and world medalist,” as well as “tanned” and a “good person.”
In her profile, Saraiva describes herself in Portuguese as “an athlete in artistic gymnastics, Olympic and world medalist,” but also as “tanned” and a “good person.”
A spokesperson for Saraiva confirmed that the page is hers.
She made headlines during the Summer Games after suffering a cut above her right eyebrow and a black eye when she fell on the uneven bars during warm-up for the team final.
After the fall, Saraiva scored 13.666 on the uneven bars and helped Brazil to its first-ever team medal at the Olympics.

Her next big competition is September 15-22 in Brazil, so she may be able to secure a date in the meantime.
After a screenshot of Saraiva’s profile was shared on X (formerly Twitter), Users wondered if they would be lucky enough to match with her.
“OMG I’m gonna have to pay for the plus to see if I can get a match,” one person wrote.
“I only found out Flávia Saraiva is on Tinder after I deleted my account,” joked another.
“If even Flávia Saraiva, a bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympic Games in France, uses the dating app Tinder to meet someone, what can we say about you, mere mortals, who use more than 3 or 4 dating apps at the same time and still haven’t found anyone,” joked another user.
