Singing the blues: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s former New Orleans home sells for $2.8M – down from original ask of $5.35M, and even LESS than the former couple paid back in 2006

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s former New Orleans home has sold at auction for $2.8 million, a fraction of the original sale price.

The couple bought the 7,703 square foot mansion in the city’s iconic French Quarter in 2006, before it was sold in 2016 – shortly after Jolie filed for divorce.

Built in 1828, the historic home features many modern features, including an elevator, gym, outdoor pool and fountain.

The former celebrity power couple picked up the house for $3.5 million cash and sold it for $4.9 million.

It has seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, a grand spiral staircase, hardwood floors and marble mantels.

The house was named the winner of this year’s national HGTV Ultimate House Hunt in the Downtown Dwellings category.

“Brangelina” bought the house just a year after Mr. and Mrs. Smith met on set — a romance that sparked controversy given Pitt’s marriage to Friends superstar Jennifer Anniston.

The two stars have been battling it out in court for years. Meanwhile, Brad and Angelina are also embroiled in a nasty custody battle over their six children.

Despite admitting that she fell in love with Pitt during filming, she insisted on being “intimate with a married man, while my own father cheated on my mother, I can’t forgive that.”

“If I did that, I couldn’t look at myself in the morning. I wouldn’t be attracted to a man who cheated on his wife.’

The couple tied the knot in 2014 after dating for almost ten years.

‘Brangelina’ shares six children: Maddox, who Jolie adopted from Cambodia in 2002, Zahara, who was adopted from an Ethiopian orphanage in 2005, and Pax are the couple’s non-biological children.

Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne are their biological children.

The two stars have been battling it out in court for years, with the bitter battle stemming from Angelina’s decision to sell her stake in the French vineyard, which they bought together while dating in 2008, in 2021.

Brad initially claimed she made the sale behind his back, claiming his ex wanted to “deliberately damage” the company’s reputation and “undermine” his investment.
