Singer Tiffany says she’s lucky to be alive and healthy after a scary road incident last week on Interstate 65 in Nashville in which an errant tire from a truck hit the car she was traveling in.

“I am extremely lucky and thankful that a bad accident could have happened,” the 51-year-old I Think We’re Alone Now artist told me. TMZ Wednesday.

A representative for the Norwalk, California resident said she was driving down Nashville’s Interstate 65 last week when a tire bounced through the lanes and crashed into the front of her vehicle.

After initial contact, the tire was jammed under the driver’s side of her vehicle, the outlet reported.

The singer, whose full name is Tiffany Darwish, is making amends after the incident as the car was quite damaged.

The vehicle in which the singer of Could’ve Been was driving had a cracked transmission, torn panels and multiple dents, according to the newspaper.

Tiffany became a music sensation in 1987 when her cover of the Tommy James and the Shondells song I Think We’re Alone Now reached the top of the charts. Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks.

The singer, buoyed by the success of her tour The Beautiful You: Celebrating The Good Life Shopping Mall Tour ’87, had success with follow-up songs, including Could’ve Been, which topped the charts for two weeks in early 1988.

Other notable songs she had that reached the top 10 included 1988’s All This Time and I Saw Him Standing There.

The singer made headlines in November 2021 when she started cursing fans at a show in Lake Park, Florida during her performance of her signature hit.

She said, ‘F*** you guys. This is my hit…I’m going to sing it right!”

Tiffany became a music sensation in 1987 when her cover of the Tommy James and the Shondells song I Think We’re Alone Now topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks.

She later said she thought she had suffered a panic attack in the incident.

“I’m so sorry, I freaked out, it’s not often I like my voice, and I just stood there and definitely had a panic attack, a breakdown,” she said in a clip posted to social media.

She said she was sorry to the fans about the incident and thanked them for their support.
