Singer John Newman reveals he’s a first time dad

Singer John Newman has revealed that he has become a father for the first time.

The star, 32, who married wife Nana in 2018, shared the newborn’s first photo, in black and white, simply writing: ‘A star is born.’

He did not disclose the baby’s name or gender.

It’s good news for John and his wife after he became famous for his own medical health problems.

He proposed to Nana a year after revealing that a tumor he removed in 2012 had returned.

Fortunately, he has since been completely free, but needs to be checked monthly.

John is perhaps most famous for his song with Rudimental called Feel the Love.

However, he took a break from music but recently returned with a new single called Holy Love.

He told NME at the beginning of the year: “When you’re touring, it doesn’t matter if a single isn’t doing so well or there’s c**p going on at home or you don’t like yourself as a person, it’s not something you really know.

‘When that chance to run and hide was taken from me, [in lockdown,] I realized that I was actually miserable and thus not happy with how my career was going.

“I realized I was just walking a thousand miles an hour to hide that. Grab the free champagne and take pictures on the red carpet and think that was success, when really I lost all vision of what success was, which is the pure love and emotion of something you created to do good.”

He praised his wife for taking care of him.

He said as he struggled with his mental health issues, if he didn’t have her. he doesn’t know what would have happened.
