A couple The Sims 4 players accidentally run a simulation where men no longer exist. There is a bug that seems to have been found in April that removes men The Sims 4 – specifically, it makes male Sims invisible. The Sims 4 The team rolled out a number of updates in April, any of which could have accidentally caused this outage. (A major bug fixed in April caused babies to actually be cursed.)
Typically, these types of glitches, which affect the Sims themselves, are caused by the game running into player-added mods. The problem doesn’t appear to be as widespread as, say, the cursed baby glitch, raising the likelihood that it’s related to player-created content. The Sims 4 publisher Electronic Arts has not yet responded to Polygon’s request for comment.
Players on The Sims 4‘s forums are mainly concerned with the glitch and wondering how to fix it, but fans on Reddit are having a field day. “All men are John Cena,” joked one person. “They’re there, you just can’t see them.” Others joked that they would buy this glitch as an expansion pack. “Honestly, right? Slay,” another noted.
A player on the game’s forums fixed the issue by removing a mod for the chest slider; moving the slider too far made male sims invisible. If you’re having trouble with male sims and want to remove them from your game, try adding this slider. Otherwise, the general advice to solve the problem with men (that they are invisible) is to try removing sliders.
