Snoop Dogg and Simone Biles are next their bond from this summer’s Olympics to a new challenge by working together on NBC’s The Voice.
Biles will join Snoop for an episode of the reality TV series, which airs Monday. As a coach on the show, the rap star brought in Biles as a mentor in the playoff round to help advise five vocalists competing for a spot in the live shows.
For Snoop and Biles, their combination was an excellent match for the sports and music icons – who brought their effortless chemistry from the Olympics to the TV set of ‘The Voice.’
“We were able to throw each other off and give the artists the best insight for the next round,” Biles told The Associated Press in a recent interview with Snoop after both finished filming the episode in Los Angeles.
“It was pretty easy, simple,” added Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time who won four medals, three of them gold, at the recent Olympics. ‘We’re both very gentle. But if we need to bring out that energy, we can. For us it was about building confidence for the week ahead.”
Biles may have been known for her athletic prowess, but she could empathize with the music competitors — from one competitor to the next.

Biles and Snoop had a few viral moments at this summer’s Olympics in Paris
“These are the learning steps: learn, process, go back in and work,” she said. “They all have the vocal talent. It’s about harnessing that, knowing when to release it and what songs to sing and what genre you fit into. And what you want your legacy to be.
‘This is a really special show, just like the judging. They don’t get to see the physical appearance first. It’s all outside the ears, listening and also putting together their craft.’
During the Olympics, Biles and Snoop had a few viral moments. Both caught up to cheer on Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone during her 400-meter hurdles race; he gave Biles’ father, Ronald Biles, a gold chain from Death Row Records for his 75th birthday; and he was spotted dancing in the crowd during the women’s gymnastics qualifying round as Biles and her teammate Jordan Chiles competed.
While on set, Biles would often smile while watching Snoop in his charismatic element.
“I knew Snoop would stay true and authentic to himself here on The Voice.” she said. ‘It’s nice that you don’t have to fit a mold. There is room for everyone.’
Snoop said it made sense for both of them to work together on the episode.
‘This is family. It feels good,” Snoop said. “(Biles) can do anything she wants. She picks and chooses what she wants to do. We’re at that point in our careers now. It must feel good. It can’t be forced, otherwise I wouldn’t do it. Period, period, blank.’
