Simone Biles ‘stayed up until 3am to relive her triumphant gymnastics return with husband Jonathan Owens’ after Green Bay Packers security sprinted to locker room to see results

Green Packers safety Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, stayed up until 3 a.m. to relive her glorious return to competitive gymnastics last weekend.

After two years to focus on her mental health, the four-time Olympic gold medalist won the All-Around, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise titles at the US Classic.

The 26-year-old pulled out of the women’s team final at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics after suffering from the ‘twisties’ – a terrifying mental block that causes athletes to lose track of their position in the air .

But upon her return to Illinois, Owens sprinted to the locker room at Lambeau Field to see how she was doing.

“I texted her right after that because I knew her phone was probably going to explode,” Owens, 28, said. according to ESPN.

The four-time Olympic gold medalist made a glorious comeback last weekend

“I just told her to call me when she has a moment. So I couldn’t really FaceTime her until around eleven, but she was excited.”

He added that they “stayed up until about 3 a.m. just on the phone, just talking and reliving the moment.”

“I know it felt like a dream to her, so I was super excited for her,” he said.

Biles and Owens got married earlier this year, and the gymnast said upon her return that she’s in a good place — both mentally and physically.

“Everything has fallen into place,” Biles, 26, said after the win, according to ESPN.

“I feel really good about where I am right now, mentally and physically,” said Biles

“I feel really good about where I am now, mentally and physically. There are some things I need to work on in my routines, but for the first meeting, I’d say it went pretty well. I am very shocked and surprised.’

Biles retired from four consecutive individual finals at the Olympics, before making a brief return in balance beam to take bronze, but has not competed since and has been out of the sport for the past two years.

She later hinted that this was partly due to the sexual abuse she endured at the hands of pedophile doctor Larry Nassar.
