Former Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles shared a heartfelt moment after her husband – NFL safety man Jonathan Owens – had to leave for training camp.

Owens was previously on the Houston Texans, where he played and lived near Biles’ hometown of Spring, TX – 40 minutes north of the Texans’ stadium.

But this offseason, Owens signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency ā€” meaning the newly married couple would have to spend time apart.

Biles shared a selfie on her Instagram Story on Monday and said she “bopped my eyes this morning when Jonathan left for Green Bay,” adding that she was “a mess” when her husband met his new team.

Owens only recently signed with the Packers last Friday, a few days after the couple celebrated their nuptials in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The strong safety posted on Instagram when the contract with Biles was signed at his side.

“A new beginning,” Owens wrote in the caption of the photo – apparently taken at the Packers’ facilities. ‘Perfect end to a great week. Let’s go to 6th grade on the way.” Biles also posted on the app saying, “slight break from wedding content to say GO PACK GO, so proud of you honey!” here’s a new beginning! year 6! LFG!’

Biles and Owens first connected through social media in March 2020 during the pandemic.

The couple started dating in August 2020 and announced their engagement in February 2022.

While the training camp for experienced players only starts in June, organized team activities (OTAs) have already started for a number of teams.
