Simone Biles reveals the damage to her calf as she wears protective BOOT following painful end to Paris Olympics

Simone Biles continues to insist that ‘all is well’ with her injured calf, despite the gymnastics legend wearing a protective boot following her Olympic campaign.

The 27-year-old American could only win a silver medal on the floor on Monday after injuring her leg during the warm-up.

Biles slipped after landing and appeared to aggravate a calf injury she had been struggling with during the Olympics.

She later placed fifth on the balance beam, falling from the apparatus in front of a shocked audience that included NFL legend Tom Brady.

It was a painful end to a golden competition for Biles, who had already secured first place in the team all-around, individual all-around and vault competitions.

She appeared on NBC Monday night wearing a protective boot, but the gymnast put to rest fears about the injury.

“The calf is fine — it’s just a precaution, to make sure,” she said of the boot. “Just a little sore.”

Biles has been struggling with a calf injury since last week’s qualifying matches for the women’s final.

However, it didn’t appear to bother her during the competition until Monday, when the American had to go to the doctor with a grimace on her face and be treated by Team USA’s medical staff.

When asked if the injury hindered her on the floor, Biles replied, “I think top athletes are pretty tough, so whether it hurts or not, we’re prepared for anything… but anything is good.”
