Simone Biles hesitantly revealed the nickname of the U.S. gymnastics team after taking the top spot on the podium during a group competition on Tuesday morning.
Biles, 27, led the U.S. with teammates Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera to gold against rivals Italy and Brazil in Paris.
After the monumental victory, which made her the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history, Biles was asked by former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman what the “team name” was.
Her teammates quickly jumped in and tried to stop Biles from telling, before she replied, “I’m not going to tell.”
However, it took a few minutes for someone to suggest shortening the nickname before the mysterious title surfaced.

“FAAFO,” Biles said before one of her teammates said it meant “F*** around and find out,” prompting laughter from a room full of reporters.
Biles later took to social media to say the team name was a better one than what was revealed during the press conference.
“Okay, seriously, the official team name is Golden Girls (because it’s the oldest Olympic team),” she wrote on X.
Hours later, as the festivities continued, Biles lashed out at former teammate MyKayla Skinner in an Instagram post celebrating their win. In a since-deleted YouTube video, Skinner — who was Biles’ teammate in 2021 — criticized the 2024 squad for not having the right “work ethic.”

“I feel like, besides Simone, the talent and depth just aren’t what they used to be,” the 27-year-old said. “The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”
After blocking Skinner on social media, Biles turned on her former teammate following their victory in the French capital.
“Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions,” Biles captioned the post, which included a series of emojis including a heart, a gold medal and the American flag.
The Americans took gold with 171.296 points. Italy and Brazil took home silver and bronze respectively.
