Simone Biles reveals how NFL husband Jonathan Owens is BETTER than her – after he previously claimed he was the catch in marriage to Olympic legend
Despite being one of the top American Olympians, Simone Biles admitted that her husband Jonathan Owens may be a little better than her in terms of athleticism.
The 27-year-old received support from her NFL husband Owens, who took time off from Chicago Bears training camp to travel to Paris, adding three more golds and a silver to her Olympic tally.
The Bears safety went viral after he was spotted taking notes and keeping score at the Bercy Arena.
Biles admitted she had already switched into “NFL wife mode,” but she also claimed his knowledge of gymnastics far surpasses her knowledge on the field.
“I got to go to a pre-season game. So it was really nice to be able to support my husband in any way I could,” she began by telling Vanessa Richardson in an interview.

“I feel like he knows more about gymnastics than I do about football,” she added when asked about the notes her husband took.
“He’s very educated. He’s kind of a nerd when it comes to that kind of stuff. So I just make sure I can find him on the field and whatever happens happens. Because it’s such a sport where you never know what’s going to happen, so once I can find him, I’ll find him.”
“The support means the world,” she continued. “We’ve been through so much together, not just as athletes but as a couple. So to have him there, because he couldn’t go to Tokyo, meant the world.”
However, some fans felt Owens may have taken the support too far after he was criticized for wearing his wife’s gold medal around his neck.
Owens shared a loved-up photo of herself proudly wearing her Olympic gold medal, much to the ire of her fans.
In a post honoring his wife, he posed next to her with the gold around his neck and wrote, “Every time you step onto the mat you witness history. Congratulations honey, you have become the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Wow!!!! 8 of them!!!! I am so thankful I was there.”

Fans criticized Owens after he shared a photo of himself wearing Biles’ gold medal
But despite his heartwarming words, Owens is being criticized by fans online for his “odd” behavior with the medal.
Someone wrote: ‘You do realize that this is not your medal?’
Another said: ‘But why are you wearing it? How strange.’
“I knew he was gone and would wear her medal like he won it,” said a third user.
A fourth commented: ‘That’s Simone’s gold medal you’re holding, not yours, mate.’
Biles herself came under fire last week when she made a fashion and football blunder.

However, the Olympic legend made a rookie mistake in the NFL, as several photos showed Owens in action for the Green Bay Packers, the longtime rivals of the Bears and his former team.
In addition to the photos of Owens in a Packers uniform, the large Green Bay logo on the shoulder pad stood out in certain snapshots and videos.
Her attempts to make a touching and encouraging gesture toward Owens landed Biles in the middle of one of the fiercest rivalries in the competition. Fans were far from impressed, even claiming that she should be stripped of “all her medals” for her fashion faux pas.
