Simone Biles’ Netflix show is renewed for a second season as Team USA gymnast makes announcement in Paris after Olympics dominance

Simone Biles has announced that a second installment of her Netflix series will be released later this year.

The Olympic star revealed the news in a video on Wednesday, in which she referenced another hit Netflix series: Emily in Paris.

Biles filmed at various locations in Paris, including a luxury rooftop bar with a view of the Eiffel Tower. She also visited a clothing store, ate pancakes and sampled various pastries.

Part one of Simone Biles: Rising aired earlier this year in the run-up to the Paris Olympics to largely positive reviews.

It showed the journey the Team USA gymnast took from withdrawing from the Tokyo Olympics with the ‘Twisties’ to her preparation for returning to competition in the French capital.

She stunned the world when she withdrew from the Tokyo Games due to a mental block that made it dangerous to perform her high-flying routines.

Biles spoke candidly about her mental health and gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her relationship with husband Jonathan Owens.

The series was such a success that the release of part two has already been confirmed for October 25. Biles wants to capitalize on her success in the French capital this summer.

She returned to the Olympic podium in Paris safe and sound, winning three golds – in the team event, the all-around and the vault – and silver on the floor exercise, after losing by the narrowest of margins to her Brazilian rival Rebeca Andrade.

Biles has since returned to American soil and was criticized for wearing a controversial custom-made jacket last week to support Owens and the Chicago Bears.

Biles attended the Bears’ exhibition game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Soldier Field on Saturday afternoon, but the Olympian made a fashion and football blunder.

She showed up to support Owens, wearing a special jacket featuring black-and-white images of him.

However, the Olympic legend made a rookie mistake in the NFL, as several photos showed Owens in action for the Green Bay Packers, the longtime rivals of the Bears and his former team.

Owens played one season in Green Bay last year before transferring to Chicago earlier this year. Biles was often seen cheering him on during Packers games last season.

Biles, who married the safety in 2023, also told fans that she won’t be able to attend as many of her husband’s games this season.

With just two weeks until the start of the 2024 season, the gymnastics icon admitted in a TikTok video that she’ll be too busy to cheer on her love interest at Soldier Field and on the road this year due to her post-Olympics commitments.

“I don’t know how many games I can make because in a couple of weeks we’re going on tour, and if you guys haven’t figured it out, it’s the Gold Over America tour. I think we’re doing about 32 stops right now,” Biles said.
