Simone Biles goes wild celebrating husband Jonathan Owens’ touchdown for Chicago Bears: ‘Almost had a heart attack’
Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens partied during the first weekend of the 2024 NFL season.
Owens, who married the Olympic legend last year, was in action for the Chicago Bears on Saturday during their home game against the Tennessee Titans at Soldier Field.
The gymnast, who won three more gold medals and an Olympic medal in Paris last month, didn’t appear to be in the Windy City to cheer on her NFL boyfriend, but she still supported him from a distance.
And security gave the Olympic legend more than enough reason to cheer as he reached the end zone.
With the Bears trailing 17-3 with nine minutes left in the third quarter, the special teams player scored the first touchdown of the season and the second of his career.

The Olympic legend went wild on social media as she reacted to her husband’s touchdown
Responding to a clip of the play on X, formerly known as Twitter, the gymnastics icon wrote: “I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK.”
She also shared the clip on her Instagram Story, adding, “LFG!! TOUCHDOWN FOR MAN.”
Owens took a blocked punt in the second half and ran it all the way to the end zone.
The score was 17-10 to the Bears, who then pulled off an incredible 24-17 comeback victory in the NFL debut of quarterback Caleb Williams.
Chicago gave Owens a leave of absence from training camp this summer so he could travel to Paris to support Biles at her third Olympics. Since her victory, the gymnast has taken over as a cheerleader.
Biles watched a Bears exhibition game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Soldier Field on August 17.
However, the 27-year-old came under fire for accidentally making a fashion and football faux pas when she wore an old-fashioned jacket featuring black-and-white images of Owens in action for the Green Bay Packers, the Bears’ arch-rivals and his former team.
She dismissed the criticism and assured her fans last week that she had “enough [of Bears gear] now,’ via TMZ.

But when we’ll see Biles sporting her new Bears merchandise remains a mystery.
She recently told her fans that she won’t be able to attend as many of her husband’s NFL games this season due to her post-Olympics commitments.
Biles is currently preparing for the Gold Over America Tour, for which she was forced to say goodbye to Owens last week, who returned to Chicago for the season opener.
The tour, a traveling gymnastics exhibition featuring a host of gymnasts’ stars, including Biles and her gold-winning U.S. teammates Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera, kicks off September 16 in Oceanside, California.
There will be 30 stops in the United States, finishing in Detroit on November 3, which coincides with Week 9 of the NFL schedule, the midpoint of the regular season.
However, Biles could potentially attend the second half of the calendar year and the playoffs if Chicago clinches a playoff spot.
