Outspoken Simon Jordan has quashed the FA’s decision to fine Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for his sideline actions during their win over Manchester City earlier in October.

Klopp was fined as part of a charge of ‘improper conduct’ after his performance in the dugout as Liverpool ended City’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

The German was sent off by match referee Anthony Taylor for yelling in the face of match officials after deciding not to charge Mo Salah after he was dragged to the ground by Bernardo Silva.

On Wednesday, Klopp was charged and fined by the FA for his actions but was not given a touchline ban meaning he will be in the dugout for Saturday night’s Anfield clash with Leeds.

Former Crystal Palace owner turned talkSPORT pundit Known as one of football’s most combative analysts, Jordan has not shied away from criticizing the governing body of English football.

Jordan, 55, called on football managers to take ‘more responsibility’ and mocked the FA for handing Klopp a ‘piddly-pop fine’ that wouldn’t make a serious dent in the Liverpool manager’s wallet.

On Friday’s talkSPORT show, Jordan said angrily: “No one gets a pass for making mistakes and there should be accountability.

“They should not just sail into the sunset after making mistakes, the referees and the officials.

“But one story, this rhetoric is built by managers that they can say what they want, when they want, they get a slap on the wrist, they are sent to the stands for five minutes while they are still choosing the team, while they are still increasingly likely to communicate with their number two and their assistant managers.

“Then they get a ridiculous fine, which is probably ten or five percent of their weekly take-home salary. It’s not the answer.’

The dismissal of Klopp was the first red card of his tenure at Liverpool since he arrived at the Merseyside club in 2015, marking a change in moods on the sidelines that had previously remained cool under the German’s watchful eye.

In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Klopp said:

“I think I should have handled it differently, with the situation, which I normally do. It was a very intense game with many decisions that the managers on both sides did not understand.
