MailOnline has contacted representatives for Simon for comment.
That came after Simon admitted last month that he finally felt ‘happy’ again after finding out Lauren was pregnant with their first child.
The X Factor judge gave a raw and intimate glimpse into his relationship with Lauren during an emotional interview with Steven Bartlett on his podcast Diary of a CEO.
Simon, a father of one, said “everything in his life changed” when he found out he was having a child.
The socialite was pregnant with son Eric while married to real estate mogul Andrew Silverman, a year after they ended their marriage.
Lauren and her ex-husband Andrew, who have an 18-year-old son Adam together, were very good friends with Simon long before their romance.
Reflecting on the ‘perfect’ day Lauren told him she was pregnant, Simon said: ‘I got a phone call from Lauren. Any phone call that starts with, “Sit down,” you know what’s coming.
“She was like, ‘Are you going to sit down?’ I was like, ‘Yes.’ And she told me. And it absolutely changed everything in my life. It made me happy again, for me it was perfect.

‘Without a doubt [he saved me] I really reached a point where nothing was happening. Even to the point where I can’t really remember the point from that period. It hit me so hard.
‘The hardest part was also being on TV because I felt like a clown, I was dying inside. I gained a lot of weight, I ate nothing but junk food, it was like I had been hit by a bus the next day, I didn’t worry about it.
“It was dark all the time. I can totally relate to the people who reach the lowest levels you can imagine.”
Simon also revealed that he and Lauren have been undergoing relationship counselling to strengthen their relationship, and joked that they would make ‘the best reality show on the planet’.
He shared his love for therapy and said, “Yes, I have done that [couples therapy]My god, ours would seriously be the best reality show on the planet.
“I think I met a couple of people who worked in the entertainment industry and we talked a lot about how you deal with this and that. Two people in particular said we’d been to therapy and they said, ‘Have you tried it?’
‘And I said, “No.” And they said, “Try it once and see how you feel.” And when I went there, it was very interesting.
“You realize that most of us have stuff bottled up somewhere in our bodies and that’s kind of an outlet. We all need that outlet because there’s something in our head that we haven’t talked about or something that’s bothering us.
“And you don’t know who to talk to. And actually that’s not a weakness, it’s a strength. Admitting that we need help and why shouldn’t we take advantage of that.”

In addition to relationship therapy, Simon also often talks to a therapist about his fears, problems and concerns.
He added: ‘After that injury [breaking his back]I thought it would be kind of crazy not to go to therapy after everything I’ve been through and talk to someone who’s an expert, who you can trust and who can give you advice. It’s kind of like going to the gym.
‘Because you feel great afterwards. And you know, at first you think it’s going to be embarrassing, but they’re so well trained in what they do, it just makes me feel better.
‘Things that used to bother me, I talked to them about. You almost get the answer that you know is coming, but someone other than you has to tell you.’
