Simon Cowell departs Britain’s Got Talent alongside Lauren Silverman and their son Eric

The first Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals were a family affair as Simon Cowell led the exit alongside his partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric.

The music mogul looked in high spirits as he left the Hammersmith Apollo, with fans outside the venue giving a thumbs up on his way home.

The TV judge, 63, looked smart for the evening wearing a black suit and white shirt.

Lauren, 45, looked fabulous for the evening as she donned a black dress teamed with a white blazer.

The socialite let her dark brown locks fall loosely over her shoulders in the evening and added gold bracelets to her look.

Lauren was joined by her and Simon’s nine-year-old son Eric, who wore a dark green hoodie and jeans.

Elsewhere, contestant Abi Carter Simpson appeared in high spirits as she left the venue, despite missing out on a place in the final.

The comedic singer, 31, was hugged by family members after her performance.

Musa Motha and Amy Lou Smith advanced to the grand final of Britain’s Got Talent after the dramatic first semi-final on Monday evening.

The two incredible acts battled stiff competition from United 2 Dance, Gamal John, Ichikawa, Enzo Weyne, Parkour Collective and Abi Carter-Simpson.

A shocked Amy Lou said, “I can’t believe this is happening to me.”

While dancer Musa said, “I feel excited and blessed and I thank everyone for the support.”

Musa won the public vote and went straight ahead, while Amy Lou and Abi faced the judges’ decision.

Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden chose to send Amy Lou, while Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon voted for Abi.

This left the decision to whoever received the highest public vote, with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealing it to be Amy Lou.

Earlier in the night, she impressed the judges and audience with a powerful rendition of And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going by Dreamgirls’ Jennifer Hudson.

Alesha told her, “You blew the roof off!” while Amanda declared, “A star is born!”

Amy Lou performed just six weeks after the birth of her baby daughter Aida, whom she welcomed on the same day her audition aired.

The tanning salon receptionist stunned at her audition with a rendition of Beyoncé’s 2006 smash hit Listen, also from the movie Dreamgirls.

Meanwhile, Musa wowed viewers with his emotional dance performance during the semifinals.

Amanda gushed: ‘That was so epic. I’m so proud of you, that was a fantastic achievement.’

While Bruno said, ‘You have won the heart of the nation. You are an inspiration to all of us.’

Alesha declared, “You’re the one to beat tonight.”

He even got a special shoutout from fellow dancer Ashley Banjo, who performed with his dance group Diversity.

The South African native had his leg amputated at the age of 10 due to cancer and received the first ever joint gold buzzer from the judges during his audition.

The former footballer, 27, who now lives in London, shared how, after giving up on his sporting dreams, he learned to dance with the help of his friends.
