Sienna Miller was told to ‘f**k off’ by a Broadway producer after asking for equal pay

Sienna Miller has revealed she was told by an “extremely powerful” Broadway producer to “f**k off” after asking for equal pay from her male co-star.

The model and actress, 40, shared how she was doing offered less than half of what he would earn a week for the piece.

Sienna did not name which Broadway producer it was, but starred in Cabaret in 2015 and After Miss Julie in 2009.

She said British Vogue: ‘I said to the producer, who was extremely powerful, it’s not about money – it’s about honesty and respect, assuming they would come back and say, ‘Of course, of course.’

“But they didn’t. They just said, ‘F**k off then’.’

It was a pivotal moment for her, as she added, “I realized I had every right to be subsidized equally for the work I would have done.”

With this attitude, Sienna asked for a higher fee in the 2019 action movie, 21 Bridges.

The late actor Chadwick Boseman has reassigned part of his salary to meet her compensation for the film, which Boseman also produced.

She said to him, “What you did was extraordinary and meant the world.” He came up to me as we packed up and said, “You got paid what you deserved.”

Elsewhere in the extended interview, Sienna spoke about her previous love life and said she invested years in a relationship with someone who was “a bucket with a hole in it from a person.”

The star revealed that she thought she would get married and have children by the age of 30, but the relationships she had during those years didn’t work out.

Sienna said, “I had what felt like the important years invested in something that was nothing more than a person’s bucket with a hole in it. I wasted time. And I felt like time was really my currency.”

She was quick to point out that she wasn’t referring to Tom Sturridge, who she dated from 2011 to 2015 and shares daughter Marlowe, ten.

Prior to her relationship with Tom, Sienna was engaged to fellow actor Jude Law in 2004 after asking the question on Christmas Day.

He apologized to her in July of the following year for having an affair with his children’s nanny.

Sienna also had a much-discussed affair with actor Bathlazar Getty in 2008.

Reflecting on her thirties being difficult, she added, “There was a lot of anxiety. Relationships didn’t work out – I imagined getting married and having three kids, being a great mother. I love being a mother. That’s what I’m best at.’

Now Sienna is dating model Oli Green, 15 years her junior, and says: “There’s a misogyny ingrained in men my age and older that I don’t see in [the] generation below.

Sienna’s ex Tom is now in a relationship with presenter and fashion designer Alexa Chung, with the actress saying she is “very happy” for the couple.

She said, ‘It’s really beautiful. Marlowe comes home with Alexa’s sweaters that I steal. I have one upstairs.’

Speaking of her unconventional set up of co-parenting, including spending lockdown in Upstate New York with respective partners at the time, Sienna said, “I had my boyfriend at the time. And Tom’s girlfriend at the time came and… it was absolutely eccentric.

“I can’t go into detail, but the wheels came off and everything went horribly wrong.” […] “It’s going to be a fantastic piece.”

Sienna said she was “excited” to turn 40, adding: “As a young woman I was so downplayed and so insignificant, but there’s very little anyone can say to a 40-year-old woman. And I don’t give a fuck either.

“It was such a headline in my life – what people thought of me. It was so loud I believed it. Now I’m at a point where it’s absolutely none of your business.’
