Melbourne siege: Heavily-armed cops negotiate with a man barricaded inside a Heidelburg home
Heavily armed police negotiate with a man after he barricaded himself in a home in Melbourne’s northeast.
About 20 officers from the critical response unit set up camp outside a house on Liberty Parade in Heidelburg West on Tuesday morning.
It is understood the man barricaded himself in a house at 7.20am.
Negotiations with the man are still ongoing.
The public has been told to stay away from the house.
However, police say there are no ongoing threats to the community.
