A 45-year-old Oregon man who cyberstalked a 12-year-old YouTuber for years showed up at her Ohio home before being arrested by authorities.
Chilling bodycam footage shows Timothy Nielsen, barefoot and manic, standing outside the young girl’s home. Brunswick police told him he was on private property and he said helike ‘just trying to arrange a date with a girl over the internet.’
In the video, the girl’s father tells officers that the FBI was already involved: “This man has been harassing my 12-year-old daughter online.”
Nielsen became aggressive and told police, “Twelve is too old, I was looking for a six-year-old,” to which the officer told him how “disturbing” that was.
He was arrested and later charged with threats, stalking and harassment during the July 28, 2022, ordeal, which was captured on police bodycam.

At his trial he was found guilty on three charges and sentenced to a maximum of four and a half years in prison
In Ohio, importuning is defined as enticing a minor to engage in sexual acts.
He was later found guilty on three charges and sentenced to a maximum of four and a half years in prison at trial, but the young girl’s family believes the charges were “not severe enough” and claim they have issued an “emergency protection order”. Unilad reported.
Nielsen first began communicating inappropriately with the minor after watching her craft videos on YouTube at age six.
The girl’s parents shut down her social media channel and at the time assumed she was not in danger because Nielsen lived in another state, the news outlet reported.
But Nielsen’s enthusiasm grew.
He searched for the minor on other platformsprocess fake social media accounts and pretending to be someone else. He even tried to contact pre-teen friends.
When he discovered where she lived, he traveled more than 2,300 miles from his home in Gresham, Oregon to Brunswick, Ohio.
When he arrived at the girl’s neighborhood, he walked up and down the block knocking on doors looking for the young girl. Concerned neighbors contacted police and he was later arrested.
Nielsen is currently serving a 54-month sentence at Allen Correctional Institution and is eligible for parole in 2026. The victim’s family is fearful.
A family spokesperson told the news agency that “this was not a relationship, there was no mutual communication, there was never any connection between the two.”
“He held on to her despite all the protection before and after this happened.”
Brunswick Police Chief Robert Safran told DailyMail.com that their initial report involved a “suspicious person walking through the gardens.”
He said: ‘We investigated and spoke to the parents and then we found out that it was the same man who was cyberstalking their daughter.’
Safran added that before Nielsen is released from prison, they will notify the victim and family. “We believe Nielsen is a dangerous individual. We don’t know for sure where he’s going to go when he’s released. January 2027 will be here as soon as you know.”
In the video he told police: ‘I am here for my wife and if she doesn’t want me I will leave now for good’
He told police: ‘I’m not putting anyone in danger. I’m not looking for sex…maybe just a coffee date or something man. Maybe just to meet her. I’m a virgin’
Nielsen became aggressive and started yelling and then he was handcuffed. Officers emptied his pockets and several needles were removed
When police asked him his name, he first said his name was “Ask Little Children” before officers could get him to give his birth name.
Nielsen told police he was homeless and a truck driver before he began singing about God and the Kingdom of Heaven.
In the video, he tells police, “I’m here for my wife and if she doesn’t want me, I’m leaving now and forever.” He made strange movements and at one point knelt on the sidewalk and waved his arms in the air.
The officer told him that “the father said that you are not wanted and that you must therefore leave for good.”
He replied, “Do not forbid them,” and repeated the phrase several times before saying, “Do not leave your sons, leave your daughters, leave your wives, do not leave your little children, I am little children.”
The officer asked him how he found out where the girl lived and he replied, “On the Internet.”
The officer, who behaved professionally and calmly throughout the case, told Nielsen that what he was doing was “against the law.”
“You can’t have a relationship with a 12-year-old. Her father forbade it. You’re not welcome on this property,” he said, before asking what his “long-term goal” is.
Nielsen said he started watching the youngster on YouTube
At one point, the officer tried to help Nielsen by offering to put him on an RTA bus to a homeless shelter in Cleveland.
Nielsen told police, “Five years is a long time. You don’t understand God.”
At times he would babble and say he wanted to commit suicide, but when asked by police he said he was not suicidal.
He added: ‘I’m in a nightmare man. I’ve been here man on the same girls for five years. I don’t do other girls man.
“I’m not putting anyone in danger. I’m not looking for sex. Maybe just a coffee date or something, man. Maybe just to meet her. I’m a virgin,” he said.
The officer asked, “Do you think 12-year-olds drink coffee?”
Nielsen was handcuffed shortly afterward. Police recovered several needles from his pocket and a small bottle of black paint that he said he uses to make “homeless” signs.
He said he had no drugs on him and that he had sobered up before arriving at the house.
Nielsen’s release date is January 25, 2027.
