A mother has become sick after realizing how dirty fruit and vegetables can be in the supermarket.
Amy Hitch shared a clip of herself using an Amazon fruit and vegetable cleanser with disturbing results.
It shows her placing the cleaning device in a bowl of tap water with grapes.
Within minutes, the bowl fills with dirt and grime. Amy then shows a similar result after cleaning blueberries.
‘SERIES HAVE Bought THIS FRUIT TODAY. I did the grapes twice!! I can not do it! I will never go back. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!!!’ she wrote on the now-viral clip.

The video of the US-based mother went viral on TikTok, where it has been viewed more than 27 million times.
“What the hell is all that,” she tells the clip.
“This is what we eat,” she adds, before gagging.
“This is so very mean. We have to watch what we eat,’ she continued.

Reacting to the murky water, people quickly reacted with disgust.
“Thanks for raising awareness about this,” one wrote.
“OMG, I had no idea…I just give them a quick rinse under the sink,” added another.
“I’m running to get one now,” a third remarked.

Dozens of TikTokers have used the device, leaving them horrified by the dirt and murky water that comes off it
Others, however, were less shocked, with some commenting that it was obvious why vegetables would be covered in dirt.
“Do people forget that fruit comes from the ground?” said one.
“Vegetables and fruits are grown outdoors,” added another.
“Am I the only one who really doesn’t care?” wrote a third.
The $32 product claims to “rapidly remove residue on food and purify fruits and veggies in minutes.”
Amy is one of many Tiktokers who have used the product, with many claiming it “changed their lives” and “shocked them.”
Others, however, called it a “solution to a non-existent problem” and suggested people could clean with vinegar instead.
