A woman is suing Chick-Fil-A for $50,000 after eating a black chicken nugget that caused her to vomit until she “had no strength left to do so.”

Shi’terra Sharp, 29, of Orange County, Florida, ordered a portion of chicken nuggets at a Chick-Fil-A in Brooksville.

She had already finished eating her food when she realized the chicken was “black in color,” according to court documents.

After consuming the suspect meat, Sharp “became violently ill, became nauseous, vomited until (she) had no strength to do so, suffered from cramps, nausea and diarrhea, and suffered extensive injuries to her mouth, throat, stomach and digestive system. the lawsuit said.

The 29-year-old is now seeking $50,000 from the company, citing negligence.

She said she contacted Chick-Fil-A in 2020 when it first happened and the restaurant apparently claimed there was nothing wrong with the meat.

The lawsuit alleged that Sharp “sought treatment for her ongoing persistent abdominal pain and cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, including but not limited to hospitalizations during which she was diagnosed with gastrointestinal illness.”

Sharp and her lawyer are suing Holland Hospitality in connection with the ‘black’ chicken nuggets on four counts of negligence.

The counts included failing to adequately inspect and ensure that food was fit for human consumption before sale, failing to supervise employees while they prepared food, offering food unfit for human consumption and failing to prevent of the incident in general.

Chick-Fil-A, ranked as the top-rated fast food chain in 46 states including Florida, is known for their chicken and nuggets sandwiches.

Despite their infamous chicken, this isn’t the first time Chick-Fil-A has faced legal setbacks.
