Shots fired at Trump National Golf Club with former president on site

Multiple shots were fired near Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach.

The former president was golfing at his South Florida golf club on Sunday when news of the shooting broke.

“President Trump is safe following the gunfire in his area,” Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, said in a statement. “There are no further details at this time.”

It came just two months after Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
