Shoppers go wild over a budget retailer that sells designer labels for fraction of price: ‘It’s like an adult treasure hunt’
A shopper has sent TikTok into a frenzy after coming across a store selling designer items at a fraction of the price.
Speaking to other retail enthusiasts, Brisbane woman Jodie Church raved about TK Maxx.
The young woman described the store as a ‘treasure hunt for adults’ and told FEMAIL it is a ‘gold mine’.
She went to the Cannon Hill store and trembled with excitement as she bounced from one display case to another, picking up designer shoes and Glasshouse candles.
“When I say they have everything, I mean everything,” she said, showing off a stunning Guess bag and a sleek Steve Madden clutch.
“TK Maxx, honestly I don’t know how I never discovered this place,” she said.
She told FEMAIL that a follower who works at the retailer told her more about it after she made the video.
‘The product is not a product that other stores could not sell, sometimes but not always. The buyers just get a lot from big brands,” the friend said.

She especially loved the cheap designer bags and candles
Jodie was enthusiastic about the Glasshouse range.
“I came across this tray that hadn’t been put out yet; there were literally so many glass house candles,” she said.
She admitted that two ended up in her basket.
“They’re all $29.95 and $39.95 for real candles,” she said.
The popular brand’s large candles typically cost $60.
She said the dog toy section was huge and stretched across two aisles.
She then pointed to the toiletries section, which contained items from ‘Bondi Sands’.
“If you haven’t been to TK Maxx yet, run away,” she added.
One woman commented on the post and revealed she worked there and loved the bargains.
Jodie laughed and said she could never work there because she would buy everything before it hit the shelves.
She also liked the jewelry range
People told their own experiences.
“I found a $200 Tigerlilly dress there for $50,” one woman said.
“I love going in there. I get something great every time,” said another.
“I recently went to the skin care department at TK Maxx and my husband had to physically remove me from the store… after paying for the $200 worth of skin care,” said another.
Others claimed it “depends on the store and when you go.”
“I’ve never seen anything this good in mine,” said one.
“I’ve been to a few, some of them were so, so good. and the others were disappointing,” said another.
