Shoppers obsessed with Elf’s $13 budget dupe of iconic $41 Rare Beauty blush: ‘You can’t tell the difference’

Beauty lovers are rushing to get their hands on Elf Cosmetics' brand new liquid blush – with thousands claiming it's the 'perfect dupe' for Rare Beauty's iconic Soft Pinch blush.

Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty blush has become a cult favorite among shoppers, with the brand selling $100 million (AUD) worth of the purchase every year.

But the $41 price tag put off many on a budget — which is why Elf's $13 Camo Liquid Blush is rising in the ranks.

Thousands online have already rounded up the shades they think are 'dupes' for the high-end celebrity beauty brand.

Make-up expert Monica, who drops by Mango Monica online claimed that Rare Beauty's 'Happy' looked 'identical' to Elf's 'Pinky Promise' – and she couldn't tell the difference when she tried them both.

Both the Elf and Rare Beauty packaging have similar shapes, with the latter having a more matte look.

The Rare Beauty blush is also 7.5ml, while the dupe is 3.5ml.

Yet both brands claim that just a dot of the product is enough to cover your entire cheek.

Beauty enthusiasts online have already given the purchase rave reviews, with many rating it five stars.

“The colors are not the same, but they are similar shades,” makeup influencer Abby said in a video. 'The Elf blush is very beautiful, I'm obsessed with it. It's the best dupe ever.'

“They look exactly the same on me,” another commented. 'The Elf is a bit thinner, which I prefer. Very nice.'

“I bought all the Elf sunglasses and couldn't be happier,” said one woman. 'Especially great if you're on a budget. I'm going to gift some of these to my friends.'

But a few had complaints about the quality of the budget version.

'Personally I would choose Rare Beauty. It lasts MUCH longer than Elf. I had to re-login three times while using it and I never did that for Rare Beauty. But they both look great!' wrote one woman.

Another echoed: 'I've found that the Rare Beauty lasts me all night until I wash it off with soap. The Elf one doesn't last that long, I look so pale after a while.'
