Shoppers in hysterics over ‘bizarre’ and ‘trippy’ ad for Aldi exercise bike – but admit they can’t stop watching: ‘There’s nothing wrong with this’

A customer was left in hysterics after coming across a bizarre advertisement for a new foldable exercise bike from Aldi.

Bec Brewin of Melbourne was eager to buy the $169 ‘Special Buy’ and searched Aldi Australia’s website for more information.

However, she didn’t expect to come across a video promoting the bike, showing him casually circling the planets and stars with over-the-top commentary.

Has anyone been to the Aldi website? The reason I’m asking is because I was just looking up this bike,” Bec said in a TikTok video.

“I’m interested, but need to know the dimensions… and this is what I found.”

She then ran the ad and it went viral almost immediately.

The humorous video was described by other customers as “genius” and a clever ad likely created by someone “from Gen Z.”

It started with a shot of what appears to be the galaxy before the narrator says, “Outer space.” A special place where the vacuum makes everything silent, making us wonder: does the sun roar when it burns? Do the planets sing as they revolve?”

“And they’re singing about.. Aldi’s foldable exercise bike for only $169?” the voice continues and the product appears on the screen.

The ‘Good Different’ marketing tactic was well received by thousands of other shoppers who were entertained.

“Aldi are you okay?” someone asked in the comments to Bec’s video.

‘Aldi. It’s a state of mind,” another replied, a third adding, “Aldi’s advertising department is run by Gen Z.”

One admitted, “This would make me buy anything to be honest.”

“I suddenly need a foldable exercise bike from Aldi for just $169,” one wrote.

The foldable exercise bike is ideal for those who live in a small house and do not like to go to the gym.

Clients can exercise from the comfort of their own home to burn fat and tone legs.

The bike itself displays time, speed, distance, calories, heart rate and odometer.
