Shoppers brand $110 ASOS ruffle top the ‘ugliest they’ve ever seen’: ‘It looks like a mushroom disaster’
Australian style enthusiasts are in hysterics over an 'ugly' and 'bizarre' top worth more than $110.
One fashionista spotted the bandeau bodysuit with pleated ruffles in an advert for online retailer ASOS and quickly branded it the 'ugliest top she'd ever seen'.
The ASOS LUXE bodysuit retails for $110 and features layers of pleated ruffles in a metallic brown color.
Many thought the top looked like a fungus or mushroom, while others compared it to something alien or from the deep sea.
'As I was scrolling I thought it was some kind of mold or mushroom disaster. It looks like a blob, even on the model,” the woman said.
An Australian fashion enthusiast was left scratching her head over a 'horrible' $110 purchase she saw in an ASOS, calling it the 'ugliest top she's ever seen'
She pointed out that the top had more than 3,000 likes from ASOS shoppers, adding to her confusion.
'Do I miss something??' she asked.
Hundreds quickly agreed they were in trouble for the 'horrible' fashion find.
“Dear God, this makes me feel so uncomfortable,” one user replied, and another joked, “Some cute guy must have designed this.”
'Omg, I feel a real deep-seated disgust. Like it's an alien slug monster wrapped around a human,” a third commented.

One person said it looked like “coral reef biomass,” while others thought it might cause tropophobia, a common fear of a pattern of holes.
“The fact that people seem to hate it so much makes me love it,” one woman laughed.
“It would be cute if you wanted to dress up as a mushroom for a fancy dress party, but everything else is horrible,” a second commented.
“I feel like the concept could be great on the runway as part of an avant-garde red carpet look – if the Met Gala theme was 'spore' this is the way forward,” one person joked.
'So 10/10 for concept, 2/10 for execution.'
