Shohei Ohtani stumbled out of Wednesday’s LA Angels game against the Cincinnati Reds — just moments after hitting his 44th MLB home run.
Ohtani got off to a typically strong start against the Reds, striking out two batters in the top of the first inning, before taking the lead in the homer standings with another smash hit.
However, that was until the 29-year-old was forced out with an apparent injury problem during the second inning, when an Angels coach was seen escorting him off the field.
While still eligible to bat in the game – the first of a doubleheader with the Reds – Ohtani left in trainers after suffering his latest problem.
