A shocking new video shows the moment a Jack in the Box drive-thru worker opened fire on a family after they argued over an order of fries.

Anthony Ramos was at the fast-food restaurant in Houston with his pregnant wife and 6-year-old daughter when employee Alonniea Ford opened fire on him near Bush Airport on John F. Kennedy Boulevard in March 2021.

The father had stopped to get food but returned to the window when he noticed an order of curly fries was missing.

Alonniea Ford refused to fulfill the order, and an argument between the two ensued.

She then began opening fire in the direction of the car as Ramos drove away. Ford has pleaded guilty to deadly conduct.

Authorities released surveillance images more than two years after the ordeal. Before the encounter, Ford was seen loading a gun into her pocket, then leaning through the window and shooting at the family.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and pleaded guilty to one count of deadly conduct.

Ramos said: “I was amazed by it. I really couldn’t believe what was happening. It was scary. It was very, very scary.”

“It was more of a panic mode at that point. I’m lucky that I saw it when I saw it and that I was able to run when I did. My first reaction then was to call the police.

The Ramos family sued Jack in the Box for gross negligence.

After filing a lawsuit last September, Ramos said, “We are here today to ask Jack in the Box for better policies and policies that do not allow potentially dangerous employees to interact with the public where they could pose a significant danger.”

Randall Kalinen, the family’s attorney, said, “When they asked for curly fries, they were denied. Please note that there is no car behind them.

‘So there was no rush to get them out. They offered to pay for the curly fries even though they had already paid for them, but the answer was no.

“Soon there was shouting.”
