Shocking photos reveal the damage to Ian Ziering's $100,000 Mercedes after motorcyclists attacked him while he was driving with his 10-year-old daughter.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor, 59, was seen in a video clip colliding with a mini cyclist before fending off attacks from several other riders in the group around 3pm on Sunday.
His gray GLE SUV Mercedes, now sitting idle in his driveway, was left shattered and slightly dented on the driver's side windshield. The side mirror was also seriously cracked.
Ziering, who played Steve Sanders on the Fox series from 1990 to 2000, took to Instagram on Monday to share details of the “alarming incident.” and updated fans on the status of his 10-year-old daughter, Penna, who was in his car at the time of the altercation.
“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unharmed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing audacity of such groups to disrupt public safety and peace,” Ziering said in his message.

One of his side mirrors of the car was also shattered after the violent incident
The violent incident took place on Hollywood Boulevard when four motorcyclists threw punches and kicks at Ziering before he sprinted across the street.
“While stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively approached by one of these drivers, leading to a disturbing confrontation,” he said in his social media post.
'To assess any damage, I got out of my car. This action unfortunately escalated into a physical altercation, which I went through to protect myself.”
As dozens of onlookers gathered at the popular spot on New Year's Eve, no one appeared to intervene on Ziering's behalf in the incident.
It was not immediately clear Sunday evening whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the incident. TMZ reported, noting that “an official report” lists the Newark, New Jersey-born actor “as a victim” in the incident.
The police are investigating the incident and communicating with those involved.
'This situation highlights a wider problem of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behaviour.'

Ziering shares equal custody of Penna, as well as 12-year-old daughter Mia, with ex-wife Erin Ludwig. The former couple married in 2010, separated in 2019, and their divorce was finalized in 2022.
On Monday, Erin, a nurse who still uses the last name Ziering on social media, took to Instagram to break her silence on the altercation.
'I have received over 150 messages in 24 hours regarding this incident and I am not responding because of it [Ian and Penna’s] privacy,” Erin said in response to her ex's post.
'As I appreciate everyone's need for information, please respect that and if you need information, please contact those directly involved.'
As he struggled with one rider, he was swarmed by others who attacked him as the actor was pinned against his car.

After Ziering broke his silence about the incident on Monday, his ex-wife Erin Ludwig reposted his story. The couple's other daughter, Mia, corrected false reports that she was in the car at the time, but her sister Penna was in the car at the time
In another slide, shared via Instagram Stories, the mother of two reshared her daughter Mia's social media post.
Mia's note corrected a reporting error: “Guys, everything is going well. tmz literally lied. I wasn't the one in the car. It was Penna,” the pre-teen wrote.
She continued, “Thanks for checking, but it was misinformation and also very embarrassing. And it's clearly Penna. like huh.”
Her mother reiterated on her own page: “Please also respect my daughters' privacy. The wrong name was mentioned.'
A source told DailyMail.com that Ziering is “doing well” following the incident.

In an additional video published by the outlet, Ziering appeared to comfort Mia, who was visibly upset.
Police told TMZ that they are investigating the incident — which took place near the famed corner of Hollywood and Highland, right along the Hollywood Walk of Fame — and are communicating with the people involved.
Sources told the station that Ziering's “vehicle… was possibly struck” before the conflict was caught on camera during the incident.
Ziering was able to get back into his vehicle and leave the scene, sources told the outlet, while the group of mini bikers also abruptly left the scene after the violent incident.
