A student in Las Vegas was escorted out of a high school wearing a spit hood over his face and leg braces, in a shocking moment caught on camera.
The teen was seen on surveillance video Thursday held in a horizontal position and surrounded by at least a dozen school district police officers at the Las Vegas Academy of Arts, located at Bridge Avenue and 7th Street.
Principal Lezlie Koepp told parents in an email that this episode stemmed a fight among students. But some students said the male teen pushed two girls.
When officers arrived, the teen reportedly became combative and spit and bit her. At that point, the officer placed a spit shield on him.
It was unclear if the student faced any charges or disciplinary action 8 News Now.
