Shocking moment Ring doorbell camera captures toddler stealing package from a porch before running to mother pushing stroller

This is the shocking moment a toddler was caught stealing a parcel from a family's veranda before running back to his mother and fleeing.

The incident was captured Friday evening on Jasmin Norman's Ring doorbell camera outside her home in West Price Hill, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Around 11:58 p.m., Norman received a notification that her security camera had gone off, and when she checked it, she saw the young child grab her Amazon package and rush away.

Norman told Fox 19: 'You coach a child… a baby, to take over from others at such a young age. Where are your morals?'

By the time Norman reached the front door, the child had run to a woman pushing a stroller and they left the scene together.

Norman said this isn't the first time a pirate has taken a package off her porch and she now plans to buy a mailbox for her family.

The video begins as the toddler, dressed in a blue skirt, pink tights and a white winter coat, walks onto Norman's porch alone.

Once they reach the top of the stairs, the child bends down and grabs the Amazon package at the bottom of the door.

The toddler then turns around, walks slowly down the stairs, and runs away when they reach the bottom.

The footage did not show the child running toward a woman with a stroller, but Norman said she saw it herself.

'I see what looks like a mother walking with a stroller, and the baby runs to the lady pushing the stroller and just goes about her day. It's very uncomfortable,” Norman said.

Norman revealed that the package was supposed to be a surprise Christmas present from her husband. She also said this is the second time a package has been stolen from her porch.

She and her family have now thought about leaving the neighborhood, even though they only moved there three months ago.

β€œI'm shocked that I don't feel comfortable receiving a package or possibly other mail at my home because others feel comfortable accepting it,” Norman said.

'I hope the baby gets more help than the adult. With the way that child is being coached and managed right now, that child does not have a bright future,” Norman said

Norman not only feels frustrated and bewildered by the bizarre moment, but also doesn't know how a mother can teach her toddler something like that.

'I hope the baby gets more help than the adult. With the way that child is being coached and managed right now, that child does not have a bright future,” Norman said.

Norman then reported the theft to Cincinnati police, who are investigating the situation. She can't report her stolen package to Amazon until Monday.

West Price Hill has a population of 22,898 and is located in Hamilton County. According to Niche, many residents own their homes in the suburb.

A neighborhood crime report from the Cincinnati Police Department shows that there have been 59 robberies and 395 reported thefts in the city over the past 28 days.

According to ADTAn estimated 36 percent of Americans have had a package stolen from outside their home at least once.

Since the incident, Norman has been left with a sense of dread and said her family will be given a post office box where future packages can be delivered.

β€œI just want the mother or the adult who had that child to know that I will be praying for you,” she said.

β€œIn the world we find ourselves in today, that's a very sickening, disgusting and sad thing to say.”
