A gruesome video shows Reyna Gutierrez walking on Amanda Lane in Dallas at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday before the dog suddenly runs across the street.

Gutierrez, who was eight months pregnant, was cornered between two parked cars and the dog jumped and mauled her.

A neighbor ran over to help, and the dog turned on him, attacking him as he retreated and then fell onto the road.

He managed to get the dog off him, and he ran away as Gutierrez and her children fled to their home.

The terrifying attack was recorded on Gutierrez and her husband Erik Roja’s door camera, which looks out over their front yard to the street, and released by Dallas police.

Gutierrez suffered bite wounds to both her hands and forearms and was taken to the hospital for 24 hours to monitor her unborn child, police said.

The neighbor who entered had injuries to his stomach.

Video later shows the dog’s owner arriving, putting the animal on, putting it on a leash and leaving the street.

Gutierrez said she knew the owner lived in the area, but didn’t know their name or where exactly their home was.

‘I just want people to take responsibility. How can you take your dog without a leash when you know he is aggressive?’ she said WFAA.

“I couldn’t do anything, I tried to cover myself with my son’s backpack.”

She claimed the pit bull chased someone else several days earlier, but that victim managed to get away.

Police knocked on doors in the neighborhood on Wednesday to find the dog’s owner. The attack is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
