This is the moment a murder suspect tried to make a daring getaway after throwing himself from a second-story window as a SWAT team closed in on him.

Jamarri Harper, 22, remains in hospital after suffering multiple injuries during her botched escape, which came after police rushed to an Ohio home following reports of a shooting.

As the police gather outside the house, Harper is seen sneaking around behind the property.

He then tries to make a quick getaway on foot, but as the 22-year-old sprints down a highway, he stumbles and stumbles because he reportedly injured himself.

The horror unfolded after Marx was shot in the throat, prompting his girlfriend to make a frantic 911 call as the 52-year-old gasped for breath.

A recording of the 911 call released by police revealed the heartbreaking moment Marx’s girlfriend begged the dispatcher to tell her what to do, according to the repository.

She frantically told the dispatcher, ‘He can’t breathe. I’m losing it.

She reportedly told the respondent that she didn’t know who shot her boyfriend, and police have yet to release a possible motive for the shooting.

He was taken to Aultman Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later, according to police.

No mugshot of Harper has yet been released as he is reportedly still in hospital after being injured during the arrest.

Police say Harper now faces charges of murder, criminal assault, aggravated robbery, disabled gun possession and receiving stolen property.

Harper also had several unrelated warrants for his arrest in nearby Cuyahoga County, about 60 miles from the alleged murder.

He was wanted on numerous charges including aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping, grand theft auto, aggravated larceny and violation of the law.
