Jamarri Harper, 22, remains in hospital after suffering multiple injuries during her botched escape, which came after police rushed to an Ohio home following reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived at the residence in Canton, located in northeast Ohio, around 5 a.m. Monday to discover 52-year-old Gary Marx with a gunshot wound to the neck.
The shooting prompted detectives to launch an urgent manhunt after identifying Harper as the suspect, later locating him at a nearby residence.
But while trying to execute a search warrant at the home, shocking surveillance footage captured Harper’s daring attempt to flee the scene.
Footage of the escape attempt shows for the first time heavily armed SWAT teams surrounding the property.
With a SWAT team surrounding him, Harper is seen deciding to escape, as he launches himself from the second floor before stumbling away from the authorities.
The quick police response caught the small Ohio community by surprise as an unsuspecting car is seen next to the house accidentally crashing into another vehicle amid the excitement.
As the police gather outside the house, Harper is seen sneaking around behind the property.
He then tries to make a quick getaway on foot, but as the 22-year-old sprints down a highway, he stumbles and stumbles because he reportedly injured himself.
Despite driving away from the house, the officers quickly realize the murder suspect is getting away and give chase.
While the heavily armed SWAT team is left behind, a K-9 unit saves the day as Harper is quickly tracked down and captured.

His daring escape makes it all the way to a nearby garage after running in front of oncoming traffic.

The victim, Gary Marx, of Alliance, Ohio, was rushed to the hospital following the shooting after first responders found him unconscious.
The horror unfolded after Marx was shot in the throat, prompting his girlfriend to make a frantic 911 call as the 52-year-old gasped for breath.
A recording of the 911 call released by police revealed the heartbreaking moment Marx’s girlfriend begged the dispatcher to tell her what to do, according to the repository.
She frantically told the dispatcher, ‘He can’t breathe. I’m losing it.
She reportedly told the respondent that she didn’t know who shot her boyfriend, and police have yet to release a possible motive for the shooting.
He was taken to Aultman Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later, according to police.
No mugshot of Harper has yet been released as he is reportedly still in hospital after being injured during the arrest.
Police say Harper now faces charges of murder, criminal assault, aggravated robbery, disabled gun possession and receiving stolen property.
Harper also had several unrelated warrants for his arrest in nearby Cuyahoga County, about 60 miles from the alleged murder.
He was wanted on numerous charges including aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping, grand theft auto, aggravated larceny and violation of the law.
