Shocking moment NYC college professor hurls foul language at pro-life students

Shocking moment as NYC college professor hurls foul language at pro-life students about display, accuses them of ‘triggering’ others and angrily DESTROYS their display

  • Shellyne Rodriguez, 46, is an adjunct professor in the School of Visual Arts
  • She went on a rant against pro-life students at the taxpayer-funded school
  • However, a pro-choice group has defended Rodriguez’s actions

A professor at a New York City art school has drawn the wrath of social media after a video showed her hurling obscenities at pro life students about a display at their school that she eventually destroyed.

Shellyne Rodriguez, 46, is an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College in the Big Apple.

She is also an artist and activist who claims that her work “uses text, drawing, painting, collage and sculpture to represent spaces and subjects that engage in survival strategies against erasure and subjugation,” according to her. bio.

A video posted by a pro-life group in early May shows her quitting what claimed to be a taxpayer-funded pro-life educational show at Hunter College at the City University of New York.

“You don’t teach,” Rodriguez said to one of the students. “This is fucking propaganda. What are you going to do next, like anti-trans? These are bulls***. This is violent. You trigger my students.’

One of the male students tries to talk to Rodriguez before she interrupts and says, “You can’t even have a goddamn baby.”

Rodriguez then starts shoving their pamphlets off the display table and demands that they “get this son of a bitch out of here.”

She offers another “f*** this s***” before walking away, as the two students try to put their pamphlets back in place.

While conservatives and pro-lifers were outraged, a group called CUNY for abortion rights defends Rodriguez.

Both School for Visual Arts and Hunter College are part of the city’s college system.

They wrote, “We stand with Shellyne Rodriguez and stand up to the right-wing anti-abortion movement she is experiencing!”

In several panels they described what happened in the aftermath of Rodriguez’s diatribe.

“On May 12, Shellyne was summoned to the Hunter Provost’s office, where she was questioned by the Provost and the Dean, Diversity and Campus Relations.”

It’s unclear what happened in the aftermath of that meeting and whether Rodriguez – an adjunct at both schools – still works there.

The school’s pro-abortion group categorized the student display table as an “anti-choice disinformation table.”

The Instagram post ends with a clenched fist and the tagline “Stand with Shellyne Rodriguez.”

An unabashed progressive, Rodriguez cites works by Mike Davis, WEB Du Bois, Angela Davis and Karl Marx in one of her works, according to an interview with ARTNews
