Shocking moment Jason Kelce injures Eagles superfan’s knee during chest bump on ESPN stage

Jason Kelce may have been a little too enthusiastic about his first Philadelphia Eagles tailgate as a fan Monday night.

The retired center was having a great time for his second game as ESPN analyst on Monday Night Countdown, drinking beer and busting out some wild dance moves before going on air.

Back at Lincoln Financial Field, where he spent his entire 13-year NFL career, Kelce joined fellow Eagles legends Nick Foles and Fletcher Cox onstage in the parking lot for a pre-game party.

However, the 36-year-old goalkeeper may have gone too far with his celebrations as he accidentally left a fan injured.

Kelce cleared the stage as he encouraged Eagles superfan Ron Dunphy to also give a huge chest bump.

The retired center and the fan collided in midair as they gave each other a chest bump before the game

Dunphy collided with the former offensive lineman in mid-air, giving him a hard chest bump, which did not end well for fans.

As Kelce ran away into the crowd of fans who were still in a cheerful mood, he seemed oblivious to Dunphy’s pained look.

Dunphy could be seen staggering into the group onstage, then grabbing the back of his leg and limping around.

He later confirmed that he had injured his knee, posting the caption “Fuck my whole knee up” accompanied by three crying emojis.

However, the avid supporter had no regrets, adding: “It’s totally worth it lmao.”

The injury didn’t stop him from attending the game, however, as he shared a photo of himself at the Linc ahead of the game against the Atlanta Falcons with an ice pack on his knee.

It’s safe to say that Kelce enjoyed his homecoming to Philly and threw himself into the tailgating experience.

He made the most of his status as a former player, as he was seen throwing beers at fans.

The next moment he was seen dancing enthusiastically on stage – and some fans wondered if he would be able to appear on television in a few hours.

“How many drinks has Jason had today? The limit should be 15,” someone said on X.

“How is Jason Kelce going to perform live tonight?” asked another.

The father of three also turned heads with his outfit choice for Monday night’s broadcast.

While Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark and Marcus Spears all wore suits for the Eagles’ game against the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Field, Kelce wore a South Philly tux.

In tribute to his beloved Eagles, the former centre was dressed head to toe in Kelly Green, with a brightly coloured velour tracksuit and trousers bizarrely bearing the Italian emblem.

It was Kelce’s second appearance of the night, after he wore a similarly casual Philadelphia-themed outfit to participate in the tailgate festivities.
