Shocking video of the moment a Georgia cop grabbed a substitute teacher by the throat and dragged her down the hall.
Nia King, 22, says she tried to break up a fight between two female students at Eagle’s Landing High School in Henry County last week, but decided to back off when they started punching each other.
But when a school resource officer arrived on the scene, video obtained by WSB TV shows, she put her arm around King’s neck and dragged the stunned substitute teacher through the crowd as she watched the brawl.
King says the unnamed officer dragged her all the way to her office, claiming she was trying to “rescue” her, though King says she was struggling to breathe.

Students recorded the incident on their phones and called someone to help King
Speaking about the traumatic moment to WSB-TV in the aftermath, King said she tried to get two students to resolve their issues peacefully before one girl hit the other.
She tried to move out of the way, she said, but “once we pushed down the hallway, I was trampled from side to side in the hallway, and now I’m back in the middle of the fight.
“When I was in the middle of the fight again, the SRO just grabs me by the neck, and the fight is still going on, and she dragged me all the way from the middle of the hallway to her office.”
Once inside, King said, the officer offered her assistance but wouldn’t give her an explanation.
“She asked me, do I need EMS, do I need the nurse and do I need some water,” King recalled. “I just told her I need you to leave because you’re on drugs [sic] from that point to this point, and I couldn’t breathe, but you wouldn’t talk.’
“She stepped out and then she came back in and said to me, ‘Oh, I was trying to save you. I was trying to save you because they say you got hit.'”
But King says she doesn’t believe that explanation, as even students called for someone to help her as they filmed the incident on their cell phones.
She said she has been mistaken for a student at the school several times since she started working there regularly in September.
But, she claims, she has met the SRO in question many times before.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the Henry County Police Department for comment.
But speaking to WSB-TV, Police Captain Randy Lee noted that the department’s training division does not teach chokeholds or neck restraints like those used by the SRO.
Police Chief Mark Amerman also told the station that the SRO in question does not want to speak publicly about the incident.
Meanwhile, Henry County Schools said in a statement “there is an ongoing investigation into this matter,” but declined to comment further.
