Disturbing images have emerged online of a teenage boy stealing a crutch from an older man and allegedly using it as a weapon in a wild schoolboy battle.
The fight broke out between teenage boys, many in school uniforms, outside Fairfield train station in Sydney’s south-west on Thursday. The video of the ugly incident quickly went viral after it was posted online.
An elderly man on two crutches was seen walking slowly towards the confrontation, where a boy was felled by a sickening blow to his hearing..
Another teen who appeared to be involved in the fight ran up to the older man and wrestled one of the crutches from his grasp.

On the Fairfield City Community page where the images were posted, Rolanda Piaggio identified herself as the man whose walking aid was stolen.
“I was the person who had his walking stick taken away and the same man came back for the other one, but he couldn’t take it away from me,” Piaggio wrote.
“My wife went into the station to pick it up and we had our two little grandsons in the car.
‘I find it very annoying that this is happening in our city and probably goes unpunished.
“It’s sad to see no respect for anything.
‘After everything was done, two other young boys came and tended to a small cut on my arm. At least you can see they’re not all the same.’
NSW Police told Daily Mail Australia late Thursday they were aware of the incident.

Viewers were outraged by the images.
“They do their schools proud,” one person commented.
‘Robbing an old man of his crutches. What a wonderful young gentleman.”
Another added: ‘This is exactly why I’m waiting for my son at the station. Innocent bystanders always being dragged into these situations, it’s terrible.”
