A footy fan appeared to headbutt a security guard in shocking scenes at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday.
A commotion broke out before the Wests Tigers’ clash with Brisbane Broncos in Sydney, with about 20 people involved in a fight in the stands.
Video footage showed a man in a charcoal black T-shirt allegedly headbutting a security guard wearing hi-vis clothing before being placed on the ground.
Bystanders were heard gasping in disbelief after the alleged attacker appeared to be angry with another fan. He reacted violently when confronted by the guard.
A woman was heard shouting, “What the heck,” as a police officer attended the scene and was soon joined by another officer.

The video was posted to X – formerly known as Twitter – with the caption: “Just another day in the league where a fan runs into security.
‘Hardly any security/police presence compared to an A-League match.’
Campbelltown Stadium management are expected to review the footage before considering their next steps.
The Broncos won the game 34-10 on Saturday.
