The unidentified officer, from the Reform Police Department in Pickens County, was seen on camera Saturday cursing at a black man while he was handcuffed.
District Attorney Andy Hamlin said the man, wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweater and baseball cap, was arrested on charges of trafficking in fentanyl.
The female police officer yells at the handcuffed man to get down and lie face down on the front of the vehicle.
As she begins to search the man's pockets, she holds a stun gun to his back.
As his body lies against the front of the car, the police officer tells him to 'stay still'
She shouts, 'Shut up.' The man can be heard whining and crying as he repeatedly says in pain, “Oh my God.”
As his body lies against the front of the car, the police officer tells him to “stay still.”
The man then replies, “I'm not doing anything, bro. I have a gun there.”
The smiling officer grabs the gun in the handcuffed man's pocket before saying “oh yeah” and stabbing the stun gun into his back.

The officer continues and says, “Do you want it again?” He cries, while she says, “Shut up.”
Reform Police Chief Richard Black and Mayor Melody Davis said they were aware of the video, which has been circulating on social media.
They called it a “citizen's arrest” and confirmed it took place on Saturday.
The statement read: “The Reform Police is aware of a video circulating about the arrest of a citizen on December 2.
The officer continues and says, “Do you want it again?” He cries, while she says, 'Shut up'
“The department is in the process of turning over all materials related to this arrest to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation and has requested a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest.
“In accordance with city policy, the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.”
People on social media were outraged by the arrest video.
One person wrote: 'This must be a joke. This can't be real.'
Another added: 'Then look how she talked to him wtf.' A third said: 'He's in handcuffs. Sue them. Get her b*** fired.
And another social media user said: 'This is so inappropriate for her to do this…I pray and hope that something is done about this case as we as the people of Pickens County continue to let go of this behavior from these so called police officers' We are going to continue doing what they and they do.
“Like so many others DO NOT fit the description of not protecting and serving a human being because we only discuss treating someone that way. Just very low.'
