This is the shocking moment a disabled black man without a wheelchair was forced out of a car by Maryland officers, who mistook him for a wanted man as his family watched in horror.

The horrific footage shows the man being approached by a police officer at his car window after being arrested.

He hears the officer explain that he is paralyzed, but is asked to get out of the car.

“You need to come outside so I can talk to you,” the officer says.

‘No problem. I’m paralyzed. Do you want me to just get out of here?’ says the man.

In the video, the man’s wife can be heard speaking as she tells officers that she is his primary caregiver

As the man opens the door, the officer pulls him out of the car, apparently not realizing that the man cannot walk at all.

“He’s paralyzed, he can’t walk, he’s paralyzed,” they say to the man’s wife.

As he falls to the ground, the officer and his colleague put the man on the ground.

While trying to figure out what is going on, the man is heard asking why he is being left on the side of the road.

He is eventually maneuvered back into the car before his wife goes to get his wheelchair. The man continues to film the ordeal as the officer begins to refute how events unraveled.

It is later explained that he will be arrested for a crime that occurred in an area.

More than 3,900 people responded to the images, which generated almost 50,000 reactions and were viewed more than 660,000 times.

‘That officer knows he’s in big trouble. I hope you get justice for this.”

‘Why did he have to get out of the car? This is ridiculous. I’m sorry this happened.’
