Footage from a witness shows an officer struggling with the pedestrian on the ground.

The officer then shoots the pedestrian at least three times until he stops moving.

He was rushed to hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Authorities said all westbound lanes of the 105 Freeway near Willowbrook would remain closed until early Monday.

“A struggle ensued and an officer-involved shooting occurred,” the highway patrol said in a statement.
