Shocking moment California cops tackle teens to the ground during massive 200-person brawl caused by two girls ‘fist fighting’ as local mall is shut down
A mall in Southern California was forced to close early Saturday evening after the location became overrun with bickering teenagers.
Police in Long Beach responded to The Pike Outlets shopping center after an argument between two girls resulted in an all-out brawl.
Footage of the huge scuffle showed around 200 people all converging on the mall after a social media post went viral suggesting a fight between two women, an adult and a young person.
Officers were on standby before the fight and were able to quickly identify the two women around whom the fight broke out.

The girls were surrounded by a large group of teenagers who recorded the incident on their cell phones
One of the girls approached the other and the fight immediately broke out, with the pair being booed by hundreds of teenagers, many of whom filmed the commotion on their mobile phones.
The fight between the two girls looked particularly violent as punches flew and the pair grabbed each other’s hair and clothes.
The violence only seemed to increase as bystanders screamed and shouted as the fight spread into the mall.
Police arrived on the scene within 30 seconds after being tipped off well in advance and managed to lay in wait. Both participants were quickly handcuffed and taken into custody.
The identities of the two arrested women have not been released and the motive behind the initial confrontation remains unclear.
A few police officers remained on site to monitor the area. A bus was deployed to deal with the possibility of several youths being arrested.

The Pike Outlets decided to close stores early at 6 p.m. after being notified of the impending brawl with Long Beach police warning that anyone left in the area after a certain time would be charged with trespassing.
“Please exercise caution in the area as the property is now closed by management,” Long Beach police said in a statement at the time. “Anyone remaining in the area within ten minutes will be arrested for trespassing.”
“Last night, hundreds of young people came to The Pike as part of a viral social media rally. Our officers were prepared and highly visible throughout the downtown area.
“In addition to spreading available resources to several other areas of the city, we felt it necessary to declare a Phase 2 Tactical Alert, which involved retaining our day shift officers and quickly deploying our afternoon shift officers to ensure we the group’s operations downtown and respond to calls for service throughout the city,” explained Long Beach Police Chief Wally Hebeish.

‘At one point a fight broke out and officers immediately intervened by running into a large crowd, taking control of the situation and arresting both suspects involved.
“Shortly afterward, a shooting occurred outside the Pike area. Once again, officers arrived on scene almost immediately and began providing medical aid to the victim. We are actively investigating the incident and holding the suspect accountable for his actions.
“I am incredibly proud of the efforts of our officers last night, and I want to reiterate that the Long Beach Police Department will not tolerate criminal acts or violence in our community,” Chief Hebeish said.
Following the altercation, reports emerged of a shooting in the area involving a young man, who was discovered nearby on The Promenade with a gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim received medical treatment at a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
It is not clear whether the individuals present during the fight at The Pike Outlets were related to those involved in the shooting,
Residents of Long Beach in Long Beach say there is real concern within the community after a recent wave of community violence.
Several other disturbing incidents have occurred in the area in recent weeks, including the stabbing last week of a food truck vendor who lost his life nearby when he intervened in a robbery of an elderly woman.
