Shocking moment: A £10m superyacht crashes into a cruise ship off the Bahamas as shocked passengers film the deafening collision

This is the shocking moment a £10 million superyacht crashed into a cruise ship off the Bahamas.

Footage taken by passengers shows the Aurora yacht sailing diagonally toward the massive cruise ship Allure of the Seas while it was in Nassau harbor on Dec. 12.

Shocked cruise guests standing at the railing can be heard shouting, “That’s definitely going to happen to us.” They hit us. Oh no, they’re going to hit us.’

The 121-foot yacht then collided with the Royal Caribbean ship with a loud crash, before scraping the hull of the 1,187-foot cruise ship, accompanied by deafening cracking sounds.

“When it was about a third of the way past the cruise ship as it entered the port, it suddenly turned to the right and just kept coming closer,” said witness Dayanni Bhagwandin, who filmed the crash. 7 News Miami.

‘The yacht continued to sail during the cruise, so I think it just kept bumping into it and hitting the side as it was moving forward. And then finally traveled to the port.’

The yacht’s mast even struck one of the cruise ship’s lifeboats, rupturing the radar dome and leaving debris on the yacht.

The Allure of the Seas suffered only minimal damage and departed from the Bahamas port with a 40-minute delay.

A passenger then asked him if he was okay, while another passenger scoffed that the man would probably be fired.

Shortly after the crash, a police boat was seen next to the superyacht.

Built as part of the Nordhavn 120 series and valued at £10.5 million ($13.5 million), the Aurora can accommodate up to ten guests in five bedrooms, including a private master suite on the main deck.

It is unclear whether any guests were on board at the time of the crash.

“It looks like the yacht has definitely suffered a lot more damage, so I hope everyone on the yacht is doing well,” Bhagwandin said.

According to reports, the 414-ton yacht lost its antenna mast and radar as a result of the crash.

No injuries were reported following the incident, but the Aurora remains docked in Nassau for repairs due to the significant damage it sustained.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but experts speculate that a mechanical defect in the yacht could have led to the collision. Sun reports.
