Shocking dashcam footage has emerged showing a car veering across a highway, narrowly avoiding the wheels of a large truck.
The incident took place on the Southern Expressway in Adelaide.
The car swerved from the center lane directly into the path of a B-double truck, but miraculously avoided a collision.
Dashcams Adelaide shared the video on Sunday with the caption: ‘This could have been a lot worse’.

Social media users quickly raised questions about whether the car was speeding.
“That’s the southbound junction from the Darlington entrance,” one person wrote.
‘It’s very common to see people doing all kinds of random things, with the left lanes becoming one, the middle lane containing slow trucks and others trying to dart to the right before being boxed in.
“In this case, it appears the Corolla was casually driving alongside the semi when the two lanes became one. In that situation I will never come out on top.’
Another said: ‘I thought I was watching a Mario Kart video game and my opponent just ran over a suspiciously placed banana peel.’
A third added: ‘Looks like the white car was trying to beat the semi in the left lane as the two lanes of Marion Road become one.’
“The white car should have moved behind the half lane until it was safe to change to the center lane.”
