CCTV footage has shown a getaway car dragging a policewoman across the ground after a suspected break-in at a petrol station.
Police were called to the closed petrol station at Golden Grove in Adelaide’s east at around 3am on Sunday after reports of sounds of an angle grinder and alarms being activated.
Police arrived at the scene on Golden Grove Road and found two men believed to be leaving the store through a hole in the roller shutter.
One man probably fled via the forecourt, but was arrested after a short foot chase.
The second suspect jumped into the driver’s seat of a black Subaru station wagon that was parked in front of the vehicle.
“Officers attempted to stop him from driving, but he backed into poles and drove away,” a police statement said.
CCTV footage outside the gas station showed a police officer opening the front door of the vehicle and attempting to drag the suspect from the vehicle.

It is alleged that the Subaru was stolen from Greenwith a few hours earlier.
