An Argentinian tourist has suffered a shocking road rage incident that has tarnished her so far 'beautiful' time in Australia.
Chiara Sofia, 26, was parked in a car in Byron Bay in northern NSW about 12.30pm last Wednesday when a man allegedly reversed towards her and blocked her.
She 'politely' asked the man to continue, but he then allegedly 'became all-out aggressive, throwing insults left, right and centre' and smashing her windshield.
“We ended up having a bit of a heated argument – I have to admit I took it up a notch by throwing some soy sauce at him,” she said. Byron News.
The freelance photographer said she ran back to her car, but then a woman who was with the man – who has not yet been identified – tried to open the driver's door.

She found the couple “dangerous” and said she has confirmed to police that an investigation is underway.
'Officers from the Tweed Byron Police District have commenced an investigation into an alleged malicious damage to a vehicle occupied by a 26-year-old woman by another motorist in a car park at Lawson Street North Carpark, Byron Bay, at approximately 12.30pm on Wednesday (27 December),” a spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
'It is believed that neither side knows each other and there are no reports of any injuries.
'While investigations continue, police are urging anyone with any knowledge of the incident – or available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Byron Bay Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.'
Ms Sofia said she has been treated 'in the most beautiful way by the community' since her stay in Byron Bay. So this is a real shame.
'It has left me stressed, traumatized and scared.'
She also had to pay for repairs to the car owned by a friend.
