With both shows moving far from his roots as an animal-loving Bondi Vet star, sources say Chris is ‘not himself’, sources reported women’s Day last week.
“The problem seems to be that neither of the two primetime slots he’s matched with [at Seven] – Dream Home and DWTS – have everything to do with who he really is, which is a loving, beautiful, caring vet,” an insider told the publication.
‘He became who he is today by being that guy everyone loved – The Bondi Vet – and even when he got the hosting role on I’m a celebrity…Get me out of here! besides Julia there was at least a link with animals.’
The source continued: ‘A renovation show with hi-vis and hard hats is a far cry from his stethoscope and helping guinea pigs. It just seems like he’s not himself. Almost a bit flat.’
