Shock for Home and Away cast and crew as ‘beloved’ cast member of soap diagnosed with stage four cancer
A beloved member of the Home and Away family is battling cancer.
Bruce Murray, who has been key to the soap for several years, has been diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer.
A Go fund me page has been set up to raise funds for Bruce’s family while he undergoes treatment.
“Recently our beloved, good friend, Bruce Murray was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer which unfortunately spread into his bloodstream and formed multiple cancers in his bones – ribs, spine, collarbone, sacrum and hips,” is the description of the action fundraising. reads.
“Bruce will begin radiation therapy to the 3 most urgent bone areas – spine, ribs and hips and will soon begin a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy,” it continued.

Bruce has worked in the film and television industry for over 20 years as an operator, key holder and jib.

Bruce is credited with helping to give the soap a “new look” and his work has been described as “highly professional and very fast”.
