Shock as huge Hollywood icon is named as MAGA-patriot

Hollywood icon Joan Collins was named as a pro-MAGA patriot when she attended a “pre-inauguration celebration” with right-wing friends.

The Dynasty actress, 91, was spotted enjoying a “lovely dinner with friends” in a photo shared by conservative actor James Woods to his X account.

“It evolved from a post-Christmas dinner to a pre-inauguration celebration,” Woods captioned the image.

‘It’s not often that you are surrounded by patriots in Hollywood. What a joyful evening.’

Actor Jon Voight, Angelina Jolie’s father, was also present. He has made no secret of his love for Donald Trump and was recently spotted enjoying the election results at the newly elected president’s estate at Mar-a-Lago.

Although Voight and Woods are among Hollywood’s most outspoken MAGA fanatics, many fans were surprised to see Collins in attendance.

“Is that Joan Collins I see???” asked one X user.

Another said: ‘There is absolutely no way Joan Collins is 91 and looks that young!’

“John Voight is an incredible patriot and also a Trump supporter…nice to see conservatives in Hollywood!”

Joan Collins raised eyebrows this week when she was pictured dining with MAGA-loving celebrities including James Woods and John Voight

Collins previously shared how Donald Trump (pictured together in 1989) was an 'inspiration' for her iconic character Alexis Carrington from hit show Dynasty

Also present in the photo was Joan’s fifth husband Percy Gibson, 60.

Although she hasn’t previously come out as a Trump supporter, Collins has previously talked about how the newly elected president was an “inspiration” to her.

She told the Jonathan Ross show in 2017 that Trump was the basis for her character Alexis Carrington from the hit series Dynasty.

“I wrote about it years and years ago that one of the people mentioned was Donald Trump,” she said.

Collins said she was attracted to Trump “because he was a very tough, tough, smart, devious and manipulative man.”

She said she had seen Trump several years earlier when she bought an apartment in New York, and said the businessman was “very interested” in her moving to Trump Tower.

“Thank God not!” she added. “Now you know what it’s like, you have to go through security.”

British-born Collins has long been a proud right-winger and applauds the achievements of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Collins, a gay icon, has previously railed against stars lecturing the public about politics.
